im so lucky to be with somebody who reminds me almost daily that we are fortunate to be who we are, where we are, when we are.
being able to function like we do as humans is INSANE and we hardly take the time to appreciate that.
we came from nothing to this. we are able to do pretty much anything we can think of. we are self aware. we are exploding with ideas and culture and communication.
human life is wonderful and weird and exciting and odd.
love your life. it’ incredible no matter what it is because it is life.

ive never been emotionally attached to an animal. ever.
ive never even had my own pet. sure, tim’s got sassy, his dog that lives with us, but i’ve never had a pet that was mine.
i dont know what it is. i mean, i have the same problem with people. but there are a select few who get let into my walls.
but animals? not a one. sassy ran away a few weeks ago (the pound found her a couple days later and luckily were super nice to her till we got there) but i wasnt even sad. not in the least. i was sad for tim for losing his dog, but thats about it.
ive just never felt that warmth and affection for a creature. i dont oppose it. its just never happened for me.
maybe i just haven’t found “the one”…animal. or maybe im just a cold hearted person.
either way, i dont really care, its just sort of interesting to think about.
